尼龍中的主要品種是尼龍6和尼龍66，占絕對主導地位，其次是尼龍11，尼龍12，尼龍610，尼龍 612，另外還有尼龍 1010，尼龍46，尼龍7，尼龍9，尼龍13，新品種有尼龍6I，尼龍9T和特殊尼龍 MXD6（阻隔性樹脂）等，尼龍的改性品種數量繁多，如增強尼龍，單體澆鑄尼龍（MC尼龍），反應注射成型（RIM）尼龍， 芳香族尼龍，透明尼龍，高抗沖（超韌）尼龍，電鍍尼龍，導電尼龍，阻燃尼龍，尼龍與其他聚合物共混物和合金等，滿足不同特殊要求，廣泛用作金屬，木材等傳統材料代用品，作為各種結 構材料。
添加成核劑PA66 PA聚酰胺(尼龍)Polyamide性能：
尼龍為韌性角狀半透明或乳白色結晶性樹脂，作為工程塑料的尼龍分子量一般為1.5-3萬尼龍具有很高的機械強度，軟化點高，耐熱，磨擦系數低，耐磨損，自潤滑性，吸震性和消音性，耐油，耐弱酸，耐堿和一般溶劑，電絕緣性好，有自熄性，無毒，無臭，耐候性好，染色性差。缺點是吸水性大，影響尺寸穩定性和電性能，纖維增強可降低樹脂吸水率，使其能在高溫、高濕下工作。尼龍與玻璃纖維親合性十分良好。尼龍中尼龍66的硬度、剛性最高，但韌性最差。各種尼龍按韌性大小排序為： PA66＜PA66/6＜PA6＜PA610＜PA11＜PA12。尼龍的燃燒性為UL94v-2級，氧指數為24-28，尼龍的分解溫度＞299℃，在449~499℃時會發生自燃。尼龍的熔體流動性好，故制品壁厚可小到1mm。

1.運輸：散熱風扇、門把、油箱蓋、進氣隔柵、水箱護蓋、燈座。電子電器：電器、連接器、卷線軸、定時器護蓋、斷路器、開關殼座、電線被覆、電氣零件。
2.工業零件：椅座、自行車輪框、溜冰鞋座、紡織梭、踏板、滑輪、電動工具、齒輪、軸承、座墊、凸輪。紡織：紡織梭拉煉、人造纖維。建筑：戶車、尼龍皮（農業用）。
3.日用品：梳子、包裝材料、刷子、家用品、襪子、繩子、牙刷毛、衣材用品。
4.其它：漁網、軸套、齒輪、外殼、配件、運動用品、醫療器具。
