We would like to inform you about a new component for the SINUMERIK 840D/DE control.                                                                                                                                                The enhanced-performance NCU 573.2 Order No. ÄMLFBÜ 6FC5357-0BB33-0AE1 is   released for general availability and is now available. It cannot be used   as spare part for previous NCUs 573/573.2.                                                                                                              The new NCU 573.2 has a performance which has been increased by to 40%      regarding the computational performance (the Intel Pentium Pro processor    200 MHz has been replaced by the Pentium II 266 MHz with 256 kB cache) and  the user memory has been increased from 1.5 to 2.5 MB. PRODOK Info No. 1998/060 is valid                      -  NCU 573.2 can be upgraded, as before, using options:                                                                                                    6FC5252-0AA03-0AA0   PLC user memory expansion by 32 kB                                          (this can be expanded up to 288 kB)                    6FC5252-0AD00-0AA0   Peripheral interface via Profibus DP                                                                                            When ordered from LZE (new business) the previously supplied NCU 573.2,     Order No.ÄMLFBÜ 6FC5357-0BB33-0AE0 will be substituted by the new NCU       573.2, Order No.ÄMLFBÜ 6FC5357-0BB33-0AE1 after the stock inventory has     been reduced to zero (approx. middle of 6/99).                                                                                                          The previous NCU 573.2 with Pentium Pro will remain available until further notice for spare parts supply.                                                                                                                          Compatibility:                                                              The new NCU 573.2 is compatible, as far as the hardware is concerned, to    the previous NCU 573.2.
