PA46是由丁二胺和己二酸縮聚而成的脂肪族聚酰胺，雖然有尼龍66相似的分子結構，但Stanyl PA46的每個給定長度的鏈上的酰胺組數更多，鏈結構更對稱；而高度對稱的鏈結構致使其結晶度高（約為70%），而且結晶速度快，因而熔點更高（295℃），熱變形溫度也高，而長期使用溫度(CUT 5000hours)可達163℃。這些特性使Stanyl PA46比其它工程塑料如PA6、PA66、PPA和聚酯在耐熱、高溫下的機械強度、耐磨等方面具有技術優勢，并且成型周期短，加工更經濟。 　　Stanyl高性能聚酰胺46在 汽車和電子 應用領域具有無以比擬的性能和價值，可提供高 溫條件下的優異 機械性能、卓越的 耐磨性和低摩擦以及優異的 流動性 ，使得加工處理更為方便，特殊設計更為靈活。Stanyl的性能超越了PPA、PA6T、PA9T，同時在需要高溫的工作條件下通常優于PPS和LCP材料。
